The Milky Way!
The Milky Way
April 29, 2021

Hello friends! As you know I am getting more and more in love with space, here's one more topic to enlarge our knowledge about the universe. So let's launch ourselves into space to explore an essential part of our universe called ''THE MILKY WAY'' The very important thing about it is that, it will meet its END as well. Yes, this isn't any science fiction story.
Astronomers believe that our Milky Way Galaxy is approximately 13.6 billion years old, and is so large that it takes light 100,000 years to cross from one side to the other.
The center of the milky way galaxy is tough to see due to clouds of gas and dust that block our view. But scientists believe that it has a gigantic, supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A star that swallows anything crossing it. And it is very much possible that this black hole may be the source of gravity that holds the galaxy together.
But as discussed above Milky Way will meet its end. It is predicted that the milky way has 4 billion years to live as after that it will collide with our giant spiraled neighbor Andromeda. Currently, Andromeda and Milky Way are about 2.5 million light-years apart, fueled by gravity the two galaxies are rushing towards each other with a speed of nearly 402,000 kilometers per hour. But don't worry guys because even at this speed they won't meet for another 4 billion years. With the collision, these galaxies will merge to form another giant elliptical-shaped galaxy.
Hey friends! I know this a short topic and a very common one, but I really couldn't think of writing on something else. I am not sure how long I will be continuing with astronomy topics, but still, I have a few in my mind. I was wondering you all could suggest to me some topics which you want me to research on, anything related to SCIENCE.

Really informative and well-written! Will think of some topics and let you know. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! Yeah do tell me if you can think about something more interesting , even if its something out of astronomy.
DeleteShort and sweet post!π I'd suggest you to write the next post on dark matter and dark energy! Dark matter and dark energy are a truly fascinating topic as our scientists and astronomers are still in dark about it!π
ReplyDeleteThanks for the topic will surely write on itπ
DeleteMaybe you could write on colour blindness- what it is and how it’s caused and its effects.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best I could think of, and I think that Yashvi’s idea is great!
Yes it's an interesting topic! Will surely search on that too. Thank you for your suggestions. Keep them coming.π
