The Milky Way!

The Milky Way  April 29, 2021 Hello friends! As you know I am getting more and more in love with space, here's one more topic to enlarge our knowledge about the universe. So let's launch ourselves into space to explore an essential part of our universe called ''THE MILKY WAY''  The very important thing about it is that, it will meet its END as well. Yes, this isn't any science fiction story. In the vastness of the universe, you will find a hazy spiral ring of white light that looks like milk spilled across the sky. Well, it isn't milk of course but a galaxy to which the ancient Romans called the BAND VIA LACTEL , which means(via lactel- milky road or milky way).  What is a galaxy? Now, this topic won't be new to you all, still, just a small recapitulation. Galaxy, a large cluster of over 100 billion stars, planets, gas, and dust all assembled and held together by gravity. Our solar system including our beloved  Earth, other neighboring planets, and S...

Why are Auroras formed?

A  u  r  o  r  a April 27, 2021 Hello, my dear astronomers!! I know you all love stargazing. And today I am going to introduce you to a much 'brighter' topic that mankind has marveled at for centuries. I am so sure that all of you must have heard the term 'AURORA.' Well, what exactly is an aurora?  An aurora referred to as polar lights, northern lights, or southern lights, is a natural light display in the Earth's sky, predominantly seen in high-latitude regions. Then how is this captivating and mesmerizing light formed? Every second, one million tons of matter is blasted from the sun at the velocity of one million miles per hour, and it's on a mission to collide with the Earth. This is the journey of Polar Lights.  The protons and electrons create the northern lights which depart from the Sun's corona.๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Don't worry its not our present time corona.๐Ÿ˜œ ( The corona is the outermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere and is one of the hottest region...

What is Supernova?

SUPERNOVA April 25, 2021 Hello, my sci buddies! Hoping your weekend went great.  I am back with a new topic for my inquisitive readers. Today we will be diving into an astronomical event! We will look into the life of stars. Stars! they come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Like the blue giant, the red giant, the red supergiant, even our Sun is a type of star called G2V yellow dwarf. Yet despite these differences, most of them meet their end with a SUPERNOVA. Supernova is a powerful luminous stellar explosion. It is a massive explosion that takes place at the end of a star's life cycle.  Well, a supernova occurs when there is a change in the core or of a star. Now, this change can happen in two different forms, both resulting in a supernova. 1) Let us look at the type of supernova that happens in the binary star systems, consisting of two stars orbiting around their common center of mass. During the process, one of the stars a carbon-oxygen white dwarf tak...

Evolution of Earth

Our Glorious Earth  April 22, 2021 Wishing you all a very happy Earth Day!!๐ŸŒŽ  April 22nd every year is observed as Earth Day. It was first organized in 1970 to promote ecology and raise awareness of the growing problems of air, water, and soil pollution. So please do your bit and let's together try saving our lovely earth.  Our dear Earth, the perfect breeding ground for life to evolve.  Earth has been called the "Goldilocks planet." In the story "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," a little girl named Goldilocks liked everything just right. Her porridge couldn't be too hot or too cold. And her bed couldn't be too hard or too soft. On Earth, everything is just right for living things. It's warm, but not too warm. And it has water, but not too much water.  This wonderful sphere of mortal life, our home, and the only planet known to have an atmosphere containing free oxygen, oceans of water on its surface, and, of course, LIFE was formed around 4.54 b...

Why is the SKY BLUE?

WHY IS THE SKY BLUE? April 20, 2021 Hello!! Hope you all are doing well. I want to thank you for your comments and your support. So today's topic is the most common question that comes to our mind- WHY IS THE SKY BLUE. Earlier I used to compare sky with a male gender, and I thought maybe he is a boy and so prefers blue color. ๐Ÿ˜ Just kidding๐Ÿ˜œ Come on I was too small to understand it okay๐Ÿ˜ž So yeah, now here I am, having fully researched, with everything perfectly processed in my brain. (The  sky is blue  due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. This scattering refers to the scattering of electromagnetic radiation (of which light  is   a form) by particles of a much smaller wavelength . These shorter wavelengths correspond to  blue  hues, hence why when we look at the  sky , we see it as  blue .) And there you have your answer.๐Ÿ˜Š Wait, wait I am just joking๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† As promised there will be a much simpler explanation for it. ...
